The Knights of Columbus – Council 6201 of Jackson / Howell – there for you throughout the years.

 

The Knights of Columbus – Council 6201 Supports the Community. DID YOU KNOW…?

·          Over the past 16 years, 6201 has donated over $299,000 to Deborah Heart & Lung Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Ocean Day Training Center & many other organizations with funds raised from our charity golf tournament.

·          Ronald McDonald House has honored us for our large donations by dedicating a room to Council 6201.

·          Over the past 16 years, 6201 has donated almost $79,000 to ARC of Monmouth & Ocean Counties, Early Intervention & St. Veronica’s Special Ed CCD with funds raised from our Retarded Citizens Drive.

·          6201 has worked over 65,000 man-hours in service to the community over the past 16 years.

·          Over the past 12 events, our Annual Race for Life has raised $46,500 to help local families dealing with Cancer.

·          For the past 9 years the council has run a Father’s Day fundraiser at Monmouth Park… and raised nearly $28,000

·          We have established a fund to help brother Knights in Need

·          6201 donates approximately $5,000 per year to other organizations & individuals in need.

·          In the past, 6201 has run special events to help the families of a local policeman killed in the line of duty & WTC victims.

·          We have given over 120 food baskets a year (Thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter) to needy families of Jackson & Howell and consistently support the Jackson Women of Today Food Pantry.

·          We provide toys to needy children at Christmas.

·          We participate in the Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen in Trenton – feeding between 500-1,000 needy & homeless people.

·          6201 conducts community Blood Drives and donates Eyeglasses to the Needy. Last year we added  Bone Marrow registration as well

·          We sponsor an Annual Good Friday Fish Fry for members of the community.

·          Over the years, 6201 has allowed the following community organizations to use our facilities for their meetings – free of charge (Jackson Soccer Club, American Legion, Pop Warner, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Jackson Golf Club, Jackson Women of Today)

·          Over the years, we’ve held community social functions (Murder Mystery, Super Bowl Extravaganza, St. Patty’s Day, Karaoke, Pig Roast, Coney Island Day, Seafood Night, Comedy Night, Craft Fairs & Flea markets).

 

The Knights of Columbus – Council 6201 Supports the Church. DID YOU KNOW…?

·          6201 has worked over 66,000 man-hours in service to the parishes of St. Aloysius & St. Veronica over the past 16 years.

·          The Knights support the gift of life with our Roses for Life program & Right to Life Trip to Washington D.C.

·          6201 helps run the St. Aloysius Parish Fair – cooking for the length of the fair (whether in 90+ degree heat or pouring rain).

·          6201 actively participates in St. Veronica’s Annual Festival to help raise money for the parish.

·          We support the annual Catholic Tent Revival at St. Veronica’s.

·          We conduct an annual Nativity Lighting Ceremony for the family & youth of the community.

·          6201 supports ministries with members, wives & children actively serving as Priests, Deacons, Eucharistic ministers, Lecturers, holy name society members, rosary society members, ushers, and, altar servers. 

 

The Knights of Columbus – Council 6201 Supports Our Youth. DID YOU KNOW…?

·          6201 has worked 27,000 man-hours in service to the youth in our community over the past 16 years.

·          Many of our ranks serve as coaches in soccer, basketball, baseball and football in the local school & sports organizations.

·          We run annual Easter Egg Hunts and Children’s Christmas Party

·          We run an annual Christmas party for physically & mentally challenged youth at Ocean County Day Training School.

·          We sponsor annual K of C Free Throw Contests.

·          We recognize & honor Eagle Scouts of the area.

·          We support all Scouting programs (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts & Girl Scouts)

 

As you can see, we are more than a club, more than a building. We are there for the community; we are there for the church, for youth and for the family. We’ve been there through the years & will continue to be there.  Where do YOU fit in? Maybe you know a cause or someone that needs some support. Or maybe you want to be part of this vital organization!
